It's Done

Finally, after blood, sweat and tears, we are in our new house. I had a particularly dim witted woman working on getting paper work ready for the seller's part. After about the 11th time her paper work was sent back to her for being inaccurate, I called and said I wanted someone else to do it because she didn't know how to do her job. I was literally calling 4 different people every hour all week so that they would do their jobs! In defense of a few innocents, my lender and real estate agent were doing a great job, but when there are several different parties trying their best to get their own way, things get messy. Then as this house was in foreclosure, things were ten times worse than usual.
We were able to start moving in this last weekend and got two days of unboxing done before I had to take Brett to the airport. He had to go to California for the week for work and I'm not happy about it. I HATE being home alone and even tried talking a few people into coming to stay with me, but unfortunately no one could. So I've been here pouting since 2 when I took Brett and dropped him off. Brett took the lap top with him to work on school work, so we've been using the web cam and IM ing each other every five minutes. Like I've said before, we don't separate well.
On a high note, I love my house!!! It's so much fun getting things put away and I'm planning how to decorate everything. I'm not a very good decorator and have no imagination, but I'm good at copying other people’s ideas. Ethan is really into Transformers right now and we are going to do his room in Optimus Prime decor.
Outside things are starting to feel a bit like spring. I have perennials coming up in my flower beds and I'm excited to see what all is there. I hope who ever lived here last was a bulb person; I love tulips in the spring!
Across the street spring soccer is going on. Today was the first time I've seen them out, but a girls team was out practicing for a few hours. The school district offices are right across the soccer fields out front, and right to our back is the grade school Ethan will go to. I can see the whole playground from my upstairs bedroom window.
I made spaghetti for dinner tonight and I got to the point that all I needed to do was add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes and then it would be done, when I realized we hadn't found the can opener yet. An hour later I finally found the can opener. I think it was the very last kitchen box I got out of the garage. The only kitchen boxes left to unpack are my old dishes. I'm undecided as for what to do with them now that I have all new dish sets. They are a cute set I got from Pier One when I was first married from my mom-in-law. I think maybe I'll take them up to the cabin at Island Park. That sounds good.
I'm excited to get things put away and then I'll get my camera back from Brett's mom so I can take pictures. I can't wait to share with everyone! I was so thankful that my parents came down on Saturday to help us get things moved. I was stressed out about having to do it all myself with three children while Brett was away during the week. I guess he's coming back on Thursday, but it seems like forever.

Your home sounds like such an ideal location. That will be so fun to look out your bedroom window and see your little man playing once he goes to school.

I can't wait to see pictures of your house!

I wish I was close then I could come up and keep you company and play!!

You have no idea how much I would like company. Just let me know if you get bored and feel like a road trip.
