Yes, it did happen

Why yes that is a single side Dutch braid, thank you. I've been practicing. And check out that adorable bow my sister-in-law Ashlee made! Lucky for us we had the perfect outfit for it.
Her first Kindergarten breakfast.
That is also a Disney Princess backpack. I died a little inside when I gave in and bought it for her.
Oh, my baby! All grown up.
And my other baby already grew up. Do you see what's on is desk! Real life text books! I am still in shock. Can't believe it. Lately I've even been catching him reading his Hardy Boy books in bed at night. I silently squealed with delight the first few times. Not out loud though, I don't want him to know how cool I think it is.
They were both very excited to start school this year. Both had their outfits picked out and laid on the ends of there beds the night before and both had their backpacks sitting by the door ready to go! They are so funny. Lauren has been in school now for nearly a month and her only regret is that she can't go every day. I was worried about her having a full day every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, but apparently I worried in vain, she's taking it like a champ and still comes home happy.
My biggest question is if they are getting enough food at lunch since every day they come home acting like they're starving.
We had meet the teacher night for parents a couple weeks ago. The only thing both Ethan and Lauren's teachers had to say were they didn't have anything we needed to work on, the kids were great, stay on task, and are capable of doing all the things academically that they need to. Ya! I feel like an accomplished mommy now.

All about me: I also have been in school for a month now. I'm doing well, but my time is a bit limited, thus the month and a half gap in between posts. Technically I could have found the time I'm sure if I really wanted to, but it's just one more thing I've got to do on the computer. Today however, I wanted to, so here I am. My essay is written and just needs to be tweaked before I email it on over to my peer editing group, so I'm feeling accomplished today.
