Kid converstions

Lauren "I'm going to marry you when I get older Ethan."
Ethan "I can't marry you, you're my sister and that's against the law." but more importantly, "And I'm going to marry a blond and you're not blond."
Mom " Why does she have to be blond?"
Ethan " Because blonds are pretty, I like blonds."
Greaaaaat.

Lauren talking about Scooby Doo
Lauren "I'm going to be Daphne, Mom's going to be Velma, Ethan is Fred and Daddy is Scooby Doo."
Mom "Why do you get to be Daphne?"
Lauren "Because I'm pretty and I have a big mouth."
I'm glad I get to be Velma.
Dad "Why do I have to be Scooby Doo?"
Lauren "Because you can't be Shaggy."



Oh! I got told the perfect way to discipline my children; at least my two oldest. Today when they started bickering, I made them stop and hug each other for five minutes. While they were hugging I made them tell each other things that they loved about each other. I've never heard so much lamenting and gnashing of teeth before during a punishment. Hee, hee, hee. I almost can't wait until they start fighting again!
