As of one hour ago, Brett's Spring semester came to an end! He finished his test and achieved an A in his business class and an A in his HR class. I'm so proud of him! Especially since these were online classes; taking online classes are not something he likes to do nor does very well with. He now has 4 more classes until he graduates, which means this time next year he's DONE. DONE. DONE. I'm just so proud of this accomplishment. He's had to lose sleep sometimes, and mostly he's had to lose time. The biggest sacrifice he has had to make is time with his wife and children. Brett doesn't do things without us. He likes golfing, he likes racket ball, but he loves us. It's rare that he will willingly go do things unless we can be there too. He'd rather put a Lego Jedi plane together with his son, or dress Lauren up like a princess then go off on his own. Lily is adorable with him. When she hears his voice, it doesn't matter how into something she is(even nursing). She will jerk her head around and frantically look for him. She gets this look in her eye, I can't even describe it, it's like this adoring gleam. She LOVES her daddy. I always put the phone up to her so Brett can talk to her and it's so funny to watch her look around expectantly for him, and get that daddy look in her eye! I'm feeling pretty happy about summer for once, it means we get more Brett. I think this weekend calls for a celebration!
The Ross Family is moving. One branch are moving here to us and another are moving to Logan. Brett and I are excited, and our kids are beyond excited, that Jason and Cori, along with their three kids, are moving here with us! This weekend is the first stage of the move. Brett and I have never got to live by any one in his family. Suddenly we have his parents AND Jason's family right here with us. It's awesome.
We are also pretty stoked for Josh and Ashlee. They get to move into their first house in two weeks! AND it's in Logan, I'm so jealous. Brett and I were married in the Logan temple, and I just love the area. It's so pretty. Their house is totally cute, too. Brett and I are hoping to hitch a ride with his parents when they go up to help them move in.
Brett's dad and I got to spend the day together yesterday. We always have such a nice time when he comes with us on our trips, although I think he's nuts for wanting to. I would pay people so I didn't have to do errands with all three kids. Thankfully he's willing to sacrifice for my sanity. We were talking about how cool it is that we've all ended up here. It wasn't planned, by us anyway, and it's worked out so well. We are now within 6 hours at the very longest to get to Brad and Jen's, and most of us are right here together. How cool. I wouldn't trade having our family near us for anything. Plus, the cousins all love each other. Every day, I'm not kidding, every day Lauren pouts and says she wants her cousins. Kenna, Maddy and Boston are always at the top of her list.
Like I said, it's time for a celebration!
