That's me. I deserve it, so just say it.
Normally when I need to run up the street to the store, I'm alone because it will take me about 3 minutes there and back to grab the gallon of milk I'm going for, but last night since Brett was busy, I took Lily with me. Normally, I jump out of the car, run in and run back out, so that's what I did. I ran in, fun and fancy free, went to the ice cream isle to pick out a treat for Family Home Evening, and suddenly it hit me that I was missing something. What am I forgetting??? Lily!!!!! So everyone in the store got to see me bolt out and run for my car, they probably thought I was stealing something. I got to Lily who was perfectly happy sitting there in her car seat, doors locked and temperature just fine, but I was sick at myself. How does someone forget their child??? It was only about one minute that she was alone in the car, but sheesh! So now I've been feeling guilty and horrible. My poor little Lily.
I think subconsciously I've been trying to make up for it today because I've realized that even when I was mowing the lawn, I had her strapped to my chest. She's still here, laying right by my side.

Oh now you've done it!! hahaha!! Everyone does something like this every now and then. Don't feel bad...you went right out and got her once you realized. Back in the day parents left their kids in the car for hours during shopping trips!;)some still do!
