Hypothetically speaking

if your bank accidentally deposits $1,225.13 into your checking account, and $600.00 into your savings account, do you really have to tell someone???

Sometimes having a conscience sucks.

Did that really happen to you? I would have to say I would tell them. Being an ex bank employee I know that its only a matter of time before they find it. I have seen it happen and then people spend the money and find themselves in a world of hurt becuase they have to pay the money back. It wasn't theres in the first place. If it sounds like its too good to be true then well it is.

OH, yeah, it really happened on Monday, though I just noticed it last night. I called to tell them what happened so I'm sure the money will be taken out sometime this week. I could NEVER spen money that isn't mine. I can't believe people actually have done that.

I could spend money that isn't mine. haha..but man, what a crappy deal. I'd want to say, "this money is a mistake, but if you don't find the owner can I keep it?" They should at least reward you for being honest..haha..actually I'm kind of against that too...hahaha! Good for you though!

I have a good bank story. I had to make a payment on line the other day and I made a payment of $83.50. About 4 days later I get a thing in the mail from the bank and it says that I'm over drawn because of a $8,350.00 payment made on line. Yeah, I had like 7 or 8 insufficient funds fees, blah, blah, blah. I found this out last Friday at 5:20! I was in such a rush to get it figured out before the weekend. Luckily I know the people at my bank and they were so helpful, but I couldn't do much until Monday. Anyway, scary! I'm glad we have a concious, but yeah it can suck sometimes!

Man that kinda stinks from the bank's point of view. Did that really happen? Too bad ya couldn't just keep it, but they would find out anyhow and fix it. Crazy!
