We are pregnant and expecting in November!
No, just kidding, my news is better. Lauren has decided to be fully potty trained. She has been in undies since we moved into our new place a month ago, but every time she has needed to go poop, she's asked for a diaper. I'm an easy going, non-aggressive mom so I said sure. I like to let my kids discover and make the decision on their own. She's been diaper and accident free for three days and nights and has gotten over her pooping in the toilet phobia. Yeah!!! Go Lauren. She was so proud of herself that she did a little dance and yelled out, “I’m learning!!!"
Now I have one more to go. I have to say, it is nice having just one child in diapers. Lily has a while to go though, so it will be that way for a few more years, at least until we have our next baby and then I'll have two kids in diapers, again. Yuck.
Mother duck has been christened. She is officially known as Mrs. (I use this prefix lightly) Jemima Puddle-Duck, compliments Beatrix Potter. She seems to be a negligent mother, and somewhat naive as to the danger in which she's laying her eggs, thus the name. She's up to an impressive three egg count and has actually started covering her eggs up to disguise them. Maybe motherhood is growing on her.
Someone else I'm proud of: Brett. I swear, he can do anything. He knew that his break pads and those round things they grind on needed to be changed, which is like around $400 I think to have it done, so I was grumbling about this and he decided to do it himself. He took things apart, got the parts we needed and changed them out himself at the affordable price of $120.00. Yeah, for Brett! I'm so glad that he did too, becase when we got things taken apart, there was hardly any break pad left at all. The new ones were like three inches thicker(like they should be) than the ones we took off. Yikes.

How many weeks are you, wait are you closer to 8 weeks? I think that's where I was around this time last year. Ohhh, I am so glad it's you and not me. Still, so happy for you guys, having two is really a lot of fun. Plus you're great parents.
Well unfortunatly I spoke too soon. I was just over five weeks. It probably was pretty close to the same time as you were last year. The due date was the 20th. I really wish that it was still me though.. Well things happen for a reason. I don't think I am going to bother with the ultra sound but I am still going to go to the check up to make sure everything else is ok.. ooops.
oh! Alli, I'm so sorry! If your like me, your irritated that you have to wait, but not sad. I've honestly not ever really cared whenever I lose one, but I have between each child. One at like 5 weeks, and one at 12. I feel the same way you do, things happen for a reason, and concidering what came out when I lost the last one, I'm glad it died or it would have been a very scary looking mutant. You guys get pregnant easily enough I think so I wouldn't worry. I'm sure we'll be getting happy news pretty soon. Let me know how things are going! You have my email right?
I almost died when I read you were pregnant again... for your sake, I am glad you are not. But who knows... maybe you could handle four under five....eeks! Congratulations to Lauren! At least she would ask for a diaper... Dave's nephew that is 4 1/2 just takes dumps in his pants all the time...Alli, Dave's sister, just throws the underwear away because she says it is worth the dollar to buy a new pair and not scrub out the poop. I would probably have to agree!
Yeah for Lauren!!!! That is so exciting!
Ha! Ha! I checked my feeds and saw your first line and about died. I came over immediately. You're funny!
And good for Lauren! I'm always so relieved when potty training is over. My least favorite task!
