This is kind of a weird room to utilize. It's very longish and hard to put furniture in. I do want a table to go on the backside of my couch there so I have a place to put up stuff like my nativity set around the holidays.
That mission style table is about to get a nice new coat of black paint. I'm going to try and get to it today. That is, I'll do it if my nausea lets up a bit.
I should add that my awesome husband made that table in high school. I really like it! I had this old tall lamp that was crooked, but I like a bit more light in my living room and refused to get rid of it. He was threatening to throw it away so I told him to get me a table and a new lamp to go on top and he could have his way. Compromise, we both got our way and are very happy with the results. The entrance way is a lot more inviting this way.
I haven't painted the bottom part of the wall, but all the rest got a new color a few shades darker than it had been. My biggest beef with what it was before is that someone actually thought it would be a good idea to use flat instead of eggshell or even satin! Why! So I'm much more happy with this color.
I'm thinking the bottom half needs a nice chocolate brown color, but I need to make a trip to Home Depot to decide. I allow myself one gallon of paint a month. That's reasonable right?
