Two

The night before his birthday was so full of excitement that he curled up next to Daddy for campout night and fell dead asleep.
We took him to the aquarium and let him spend some extra special time all by himself in the toddler fun zone with mommy. Plus, he absolutely loves the fish! The hands on stations are his favorites.

We refer to this fish as the "Sloth" fish. You know, Sloth from Goonies? This has got to be the most awkward, ugly fish there is. And it's huge! Seriously this thing is massive and looks like it defies the laws of nature by swimming. This shot is a side shot, not a bottom shot.
We also went and found all sorts of stinky, creepy crawly things living in the tide pools at Lover's Point in the bay.
Then it was time for his big candle blowing out moment. He was a success on the first attempt! My little super hero.

Yes he had black cake pops. All candy melt has been on backorder to due their shipments melting on the way here. Baby blue was not to be found for cupcake cake pops. Bummer.
He got clothes, a baby basketball hoop, and some blocks from the neighbors. He had a great day. I am no longer the mother of a one year old, nor will I ever be again. Bitter sweet.
