The Hiawatha Trail

We start with a 1.7 mile long train tunnel. The whole trail is 17 miles with many tunnels and very high, scary bridges. It's an old train track converted into a bike trail.
You can't believe how very dark it is in one of these tunnels. We had lamps on the fronts of the bikes to get through them. It was awesome and totally looked like Dracula's tunnel. The first one in particular because there was water dripping from the ceiling, in waterfalls down the sides of the cave, or running along the side of the trail.

Dad is amazing! It's got to be pretty scary for him to not be able to see, and simply trust Brett as he lead them on the tandem bike. He said one of these days we'll get sick of having to bring him along on our trips, but he's very mistaken; we will never want to leave him behind just because he can't see.
Lauren was our youngest rider at 6 years old and did a great job!
