Let's start here. My Aunt Joice is forever giving my kids the funnest things, such as this fabulous vintage plane. It's got to be my favorite!
Moving down a few inches is the picture I just had to have for my little boy along with the poem Superman's Dad.
The flag is, yet again, from my Aunt Joice, whom I have always lovingly thought of as "Grandma", and my cousin Beth. They are always so thoughtful and asked my kids months ago what they would like for Christmas. Ethan said he wanted a flag with a book about it, and that's exactly what he got.Love you Aunt Joice and Beth!
Here is my old computer hutch that currently holds approx. 300 Ethan original pieces of art. Highly valuable. To me.
Now that blank space warp of white wall by the window and above the bed will soon be home to his matching Transformers poster, and above the bed will be a shelf for his most prized possessions(race ribbon, tee-ball ribbon, mickey mouse statue{another incredibly generous gift from Aunt Joice}, and various rocks that have been deemed awesome), along with the last picture I have for his room, boys playing in the snow.Yes, we let our kids pick their own colors(with a bit of parental intervention), and yes I LOVE how it turned out; so Ethan and fun.
Stay tuned for Lauren's room, we did it for most of her birthday present. You may need to get a cavity filled after seeing this, so beware.
PS We have been fogged/snowed/rained in with black skies for nearly two weeks now, until today when it was a beautiful blue skied day. Being a sun hater, I never thought I'd miss it so much, but it did give me a great opportunity to finally get good pictures of the E-man's room.

So I am not a sun hater...but I can understand where you come from. I,myself, prefer overcast days. I was trying to explain to Josh that I am the opposite of the people who get the winter blues...I get the summer blues...but I don't love snow and cold either...that is why I prefer Spring and Fall, the perfect compromise. I am also very grouchy on road trips during the time when the sun is the hottest and right before sunset when it is glaring...it really makes my mood horrible and I am always wondering why I am being such a grouch...then once the sunsets I totally calm down and relax and realize the sun made me grouchy! I guess we can be "Satan" together.
Love the room! I LOVE that airplane and now I must have one to hang in Carter's room. I have been trying to decide what to paint Carter's room and I was going between red and blue...but now I love one wall red and one wall blue...so I just might have to rip off Ethan's room...seeing as how we are about 1400 miles away it shouldn't be too big of a deal right?
Love Harry Potter too...my all time fav and I totally understand the Kitty's name...therefore I do not suck:) Some of my fav. memories are curling up next to my mom while she read to me so I know your kids will treasure these moments!
