I finally did something!

To prepare for the baby. That is beyond getting pregnant. I now have about 2 1/2 weeks left or less until this little bugger gets evicted. So I thought, hmmmm, what do I have ready? Then I realized that I had absolutely nothing ready. I didn't even have newborn diapers. I give myself the excuse that I've been a little preoccupied with other things, but last night Brett and I vowed we would at least get a bag packed today. So we bought diapers, we bought nursing pads, we packed the diaper bag and put Lansino lanolin in it with hand sanitizer for visitors. Then I went through my 11, yes I said 11, bins of children's clothes and made sure they were in the right sizes. Then we sat down for the fun part of choosing a coming home outfit for a boy and girl. I went through Lauren's and Ethan's closets which are ridiculously full of clothes and took out anything too small or about to become so and binned those, which means I just added yet another bin. I guess that's what you get for having the youngest children on both sides of the family. Not that I'm complaining. After being dressed like Josephine Dirt(or dirte if you will) my entire childhood, I've vowed to always dress my children nicely. Honestly, of the two whole pictures I have of me growing up, in which I'm standing in front of a classic car, my socks don't even match. Awful. Back to topic, now all I need are for my nursing garments to get here in the mail and I need to go buy some nursing bras from Motherhood, if they even make them in this size. After 18 months of Lauren nursing I just threw everything away as it was completely thrashed. We got the car seat cover washed and the base is installed in the car by my paranoid husband so I know it was done right. Now I think I'm ready to go. Just the little part about pushing that baby out which I'm really not too excited about.

Wow Cheri good for you at getting prepared! The day I decided to start organizing Carter's room and closet was the day he decided to come...and I was overdue...so that shows how really great I am at the art of procrastination...so needless to say I am very proud of you! Can't wait to find out who this baby is!!!
